“ This place is special because it's the first place I ever tried a gyro in my life (think I was 15 a sophomore in High School. Great thing is now I live 3 blocks away and it's the same great place. You're always greeted warmly and it has that old diner booths interior feel. Try their souvlaki platter! ”
“ Let's face it, Queens NY is a great place to be if you want a gyro. That said Fontana Famous Pizza & Gyro is one of the best I've had. Fresh toasted pita with a large portion of perfectly spiced meat and look at the cubes of feta they added at my request. A cube of feta is always better than a crumble! I liked the tzatziki sauce here too. My friends enjoyed their orders as well. I come to Bayside regularly. I'll be back! So good! ”
“ my family has been coming here for over 30 years. This family owns the business. The food is consistent. good. The service is fast and friendly. The place is always clean. ”
“ Huge portions and not complaining!! Some Greek Food restaurants try to cut costs and give smaller portions lately. I am glad Fontana did not follow this trend and stuck to the fact that Greeks love to feed people . My food tasted great and I was happy I had more to take home. The salad was super fresh and the Greek sausage tastes amazing. Awesome homemade tzatziki and Pita was delicious. Excellent service! You cannot go wrong coming here! ”

“ Oh my god, there Gyros are huge !! So I've been driving by this joint like years and I didn't know about there famous gyros, so disappointed at myself. First time I walked in was also like years ago, I see this hug sign "pizza" thinking it's a pizza place, when I walked in I only see one option, so I walked out an missed the opportunity to try anything else. I was recently been advice to try there famous gyro by this old colleague of mine. He insisted and treated me to some amazing gyro. I was dammed by this gyro, it was so flavorful, great portion, and it was so delicious. I ended up going back there again the next day. Highly recommend whoever is around the neighborhood go try there gyro, you won't regret. ”
“ I have been coming here for over 10 years and use to be a regular when I lived in Flushing (currently NJ resident). Stopped by here since I landed in JFK from vacation. My brother and I were hungry and figured we should try out one of favorite spots. This place did not disappoint. The place is the same as it was for years. The only thing different are the prices... but that's everywhere. Some context, I use to pay less than $7 for a combination sandwich and now it's $15. Got my usual, combination sandwich (gyro and souvlaki) and it was so satisfying. It was huge just like how it always was. Also got the fried calamari which was also solid. If your hungry and in the mood for gyro and souvlaki, this is the place. I will be back when I'm in the area. ”
